Nov. 10 in DC: Unidos Para 2009: Democracy, US Intervention, and Elections in El Salvador
Join CISPES and Salvadoran Activist Claudia de Cuella on November 10th at 8pm to learn about and stand up against US intervention in the 2009 Salvadoran elections! Claudia, a community organizer for community development and gender equality, will address the effects of US backed CAFTA and other neoliberal policies in forcing Salvadorans and community activists, like herself, to migrate to the United States for work.
Additionally, CISPES representative, Alexis Stoumbelis will discuss US government's most recent violent efforts to manipulate and intervene in Salvadoran political autonomy: the International Law Enforcement Academy.

Via Metrorail, walking or GUTS bus:
We are approximately a 1-mile walk from the Rosslyn Metro station, across the Key Bridge. As an alternative to walking, the Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) bus service operates shuttle routes connecting the University campus to nearby Metrorail stations at Rosslyn for the Blue and Orange lines and Dupont Circle for the Red line. Visitors may ride the GUTS bus free of charge after showing a picture ID when boarding. See the GUTS webpage for a schedule of departure.
Taking the metrobus:
The G2 bus line stops at the main university gate at 37th and O Streets, N.W. You may transfer to the westbound G2 bus from the Metro Red Line at Dupont Circle. The bus stops on the north side of P Street at 20th, just west of the Circle. The westbound buses say "Georgetown University"; the eastbound, "Howard University."
