Thisis a critical time for the immigrant community. For years, raids anddeportations have divided families and terrorized workers. Last fall'selection marked a sea change in U.S. politics. Now, President Obama hasrestated his commitment to immigration reform. We march to make thischange a reality--to bring the voices of immigrants into the nationaldebate over what kind of reform we need. Just and humane immigrationreform must be a central component of economic recovery. Immigrants areworkers who produce tremendous wealth in our society and deserve to betreated with dignity and respect. Please join us on May 1st to say thatnow is the time to stop the raids and deportations and move towards aninclusive legalization of immigrant workers and families.
