Reconnect with your Salvadoran heritage and family background in the transforming political, economic and social terrain of El Salvador. Meet and engage with today's leaders of the Salvadoran Left to explore the radical history and present of the country. The Ministry of Education has an incredible goal of eliminating illiteracy in El Salvador! While they have made great strides with the help of tens of thousands of volunteer youth, they are calling for international solidarity from North Americans and the Salvadoran community in the US to spread the word internationally and domestically to promote this government  program of “love and solidarity.” Last summer, CISPES sent the very first international volunteer brigade to support this incredible government program. Read about this historic first brigade here!
