Seattle CISPES – Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador – is pleased to announce volunteer internship opportunities for the summer of 2009. Interns will work with CISPES staff and volunteers on a variety of projects that have been identified as priorities by CISPES leadership, and will be assigned according to the interns' skills, experience and interests. Specific project areas are listed below. Please visit www.cispes.org to learn more about our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMMITMENT
This internship opportunity is for 15-30 hours per week during the summer. The intern’s schedule and specific areas of responsibility (within the project areas listed below) are flexible and can be arranged with CISPES staff, depending upon the intern’s availability and interests. The positions begin in May or June, depending upon the availability of the intern. End date is also flexible depending upon availability. Though we are unable to provide compensation for interns, we are committed to helping interns find affordable housing, and hours can be arranged around another job.
CISPES interns should be self-motivated, eager to take on responsibility, and comfortable working both independently and in collaboration with a small group of volunteers.
