August 1, 2008.

The historic revolutionaryleftist party may sweep the Salvadoran right-wing out of power in 2009.Right now the right-wing in disarray and the sense of hope ispalpable in El Salvador.Nonetheless, the Salvadoran right's greatest ally–the US government–remains poised to protect one ofits last strongholds in Latin America.
