Union of Water Workers Builds Resistance Campaign

On the heels of a visit to the U.S. by Wilfredo Romero, General Secretary of the SETA water workers union, major changes are afoot in the Saca Administration which will impact the struggle over water privatization. Romero came to Detroit last weekend in a visit co-sponsored by CISPES, and took the opportunity to raise awareness about efforts by the Salvadoran government, the Inter-American Development Bank, and foreign companies to privatize the state-owned ANDA water Administration.
